Japanese crane wedding at The Villa – Theeda + Mark

You know it’s a great wedding when you and your 2nd photographer (yay Karen!) are thrown into a dance circle with a handful of hilariously awesomewedding guests long lost friends. Theeda was a year younger than me at Bentley, and as her friends trickled into the beautiful outdoor ceremony space at the Villa, all I could think was, “Look at all the freshman!” (because I met them all as freshman when I was a sophomore.)  Some things never change!

I took the weekend of July 4th off to spend with my friends and family.  After a week, by the time 7/11 rolled around, I was itching to photograph someone cool.  Theeda and Mark were a the perfect couple to satisify my shooting craving!  They glowed when they were with each other, had very few stresses during their day, and had beautiful light-hearted personalized vows.  My favorite part of their wedding was that Mark folded one thousand blue and gray paper cranes for their wedding.  It was displayed during the reception!  They also danced their first dance to Ryan Cabrera’s, “True”.  What an awesome throwback!  🙂

Mark and Theeda, thanks for being such wonderful friends. Your love is beautiful and I wish you many lifetimes of happiness!

Check out their awesome engagement session at their home with their cat, Momo, and at Bentley University!

The photo below makes me laugh everytime I look at it.  I wanted to illuminate Mark and Theeda, so I told Karen to run over behind the sprinkler. I was wondering why she kept moving the light until I realized if she didn’t, the sprinkler would get her wet!
