Kind, patient and accommodating, Karen comes to every shoot well-prepared and ready to put people at ease. Her goal is capturing you as you are without unnecessary directing.

Her favorite things to photograph are times of sweet connection with your parents and wedding party, your childhood friends who have become family, fleeting expressions, inside jokes and sideways glances.

Her favorite cake is Tiramisu, whether it’s the classic desert or in wedding cake form.

“Each one of our wedding photos are worth a thousand words, but they are also worth a thousand laughs and at least as many happy tears.”

Meet Karen: A Journey from Brush to Lens

My story started with watercolor painting and drawing. I studied architecture in Italy and transitioned my love of art to my camera which I use to capture once-in-a-lifetime wedding and family moments.

Fun fact: When I joined Nicole’s team, I only knew manual focus (which many photographers never use). It taught me to focus with precision and to use my camera effortlessly. I still use it when shooting many of the weddings I shoot today.

Life Through Karen’s Lens: Chaos, Creativity, and Coffee

My everyday life is currently a whirlwind of toddler chaos. It’s a blend of the unpredictable and the profoundly adorable.

With a camera in hand, I thrive on capturing your whole wedding day – the spontaneous laughter, the goofiness, and the quiet moments. My passion is documenting moments that will transport you back in time and help you relive the anticipation, love and laughter of your wedding day.

“My mother had expressed concern beforehand that photographers would be in the way and ruining the moment, but after the event she kept exclaiming how impressed she was that they always seemed to be a fly on the wall, not intruding but capturing all of our important moments.”
