Chau Chow City Wedding
Because Boston Chinatown is so small, most of the Chinese wedding banquet halls have easy walking access to the gate, bamboo gardens and rock garden. Though some may feel that Chinatown is a bit smelly and dingy, I do feel that with the right artificial light (hence why I never go anywhere without a lighting assistant), incredibly creative portraits can be created in the seemingly “yuckiest” of places. Chau Chow City has two floors – a basement level and an upper level. Most of the Asian weddings I’ve attended have taken up the entire bottom floor. The restaurant has four options for 10 course meals with prices ranging from mid 400s to mid 600 per table.
