Boston Trinity Church and Boston Fairmont Copley Hotel wedding – Caroline + Sergio
After their Boston Trinity Church wedding ceremony, I followed Caroline and Sergio to the little holding area so that they could wait for their guests to exit the church and get their bubbles ready for their bubble exit. Also waiting outside was an extremely energetic Marachi band that would parade them to the entrance of their Boston wedding reception venue, the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel. As they stood in the waiting area, elated that they had just gotten married, I couldn’t help but ask (even before I said congratulations), “Really? kale?” During their personalized vows to each other (in both Spanish and English), Caroline vowed to always have enough kale for the two of them. Sergio has a love-love relationship with his kale smoothies everyday, even though it’s wildly expensive to purchase in their current hometown – Dubai! Kale smoothies seem to be the trick – Sergio and Caroline has fantastic skin and hair. 🙂
The two met during Caroline’s first post as a Foreign Service Officer in Monterrey, Mexico and had a beautiful multi-lingual summer Boston wedding. I loved that everything was translated into Spanish! All of their wedding guests felt included, loved, and it was especially funny to hear the jokes translated! Sometimes, things were lost in translation, but no worries, everyone laughed a whole ton no matter what.
My favorite part of the wedding was being able to sneak Caroline and Sergio outside for a few portraits in the Back Bay. I loved being able to photograph a wide epic image in front of their church they were married in – Boston Trinity Church. A musician, who bicycles in a grand piano everyday to the Back Bay played beautiful music as Caroline and Sergio slow danced, just the two of them, in the middle of the Boston.
I am so thankful to have been able to work with the talented Promessa Studios team as well as my incredibly talented 2nd photographer, Chuck Liu.
