Lydia and Victor’s Boston Mandarin Oriental Hotel wedding kicked off with our lovely bride going for a breezy 8 mile run.

Victor, came in to check on Lydia in the morning as she was getting ready, to which Lydia jokingly responded, “Why are you being so nosy?” 🙂 

The two are extremely thoughtful people. Gratitude was a big theme of the day.

The couple thanked their guests for traveling from as far away as China to attend their wedding. Victor gave Lydia a beautiful bracelet as a wedding gift. During the Boston Mandarin Oriental Hotel wedding reception, Victor gave a heartwarming speech, thanking Lydia’s family, especially her mother for doing an amazing job raising a passionate and fire-driven young woman. He told her that she should be proud of her daughter and that she can finally relax because he would be dedicated to taking care of Lydia. Victor very much hopes that his new mother-in-law would be proud of him. I have no doubt that she will be.

Then, Victor thanked his family for sacrificing so much to come to a country in hopes that he and his sister would have a better life. He thanked them for the never-ending support, especially his dream of becoming a basketball star. Victor, it’s not too late. I believe in you. 🙂 Finally, Victor thanked his new wife, Lydia. He promised to never let a day go by where he didn’t tell her that he loves her. 

With her magic book of information (that was binded!) and a Mary Poppins waist bag of everything you could possibly imagine,

Lo provided a stress-free experience for Lydia and Victor. Lo  flawlessly executed their Boston Mandarin Oriental Hotel wedding! The ceremony space was stunning – beautiful warm lights, colorful and creative florals by Jimmy, and romantic touches of gold. The Mandarin Oriental Hotel is my favorite Boston wedding hotel venue in Boston, and I was so happy to be back! My favorite part of this hotel is that each of their large conference rooms are named after Asian Cities. It’s common to hear, “Where are you going?” …”To Bangkok!” 🙂

During their First Dance to “All of Me” by John Legend, I saw Lydia and Victor singing together.

For some verses, it was cute and romantic. For the chorus, Victor was enthusiastic, exaggerated, and hilarious. He made Lydia laugh. He seems to always make her laugh. Victor and Lydia, I hope this never changes. I hope you two continue to go on amazing adventures and that you two have an unforgettable time in South Africa. Both of you surround yourselves with incredible friends, who have become your family. Thank you for letting Karen and I photograph those relationships and eaves drop into all of your funny stories.
