What if we aren’t serving dessert?
*eyebrows raised* That’s crazy talk. Don’t be ridiculous.
How many slices of cake have you eaten?
Well, I’ve documented over 250 weddings. Prior to making the leap to this full time venture, I’ve assisted and acted as a second photographer for nearly 100 weddings. I’ve had my fair share of cake.
NO CAKE SHAMING. I walk over 20,000 steps on a wedding day. I deserve this. 🙂
Who are the people behind Nicole Chan Photography?
Though it started as a solo operation, we’ve grown to a team of six creatives – photographers, filmmakers, editors, and dreamers. We work together to give our clients the best service possible, and support each other in more ways than one. We assist each other in all aspects of photography and filmmaking, whether it be for your wedding, family photo session or corporate event.
Do you have a videographer you like to work with?
Absolutely. When we’re not together, we’re skiing, playing escape games, and eating together. I’ve known Karen for 16 years and Eric for 25, except he doesn’t remember me.
My couples love the fact that we’re all under one roof, that we’ve have comfortable and collaborative working styles with each other, and that we’re always in sync.
How would you describe your style?
Creative. Dramatic. Emotional. I’ve been told that I make things easy and comfortable. I’ve also been told that I’m organized and that my enthusiasm is infectious.
I love photos that tell a story. I strive to create photos that go beyond “pretty”. They’ll show joy, happiness, emotion and most importantly – these photographs will remind you of how a particular moment felt. Yes, I’ll take comfortably posed family formal portraits. Yes, I’ll create epic photos of the two of you. However, I’ll also create photos of moments that you didn’t know even happened. You can thank me later.
Should I have an Engagement Session?
Yes, except we call them “Forever Sessions”. What’s the difference you ask? Read about Engagement Sessions vs Forever Sessions. Then, as you start planning your Forever Session, read it’s own dedicated Fovever Session FAQ here.
Can you tell me more about your pricing?
I’d love to learn more about your wedding so that I can give you more accurate pricing. I don’t want to give you pricing on a 16 hour Indian wedding if you’re heading to City Hall for 2 hours! Feel free to e-mail me or schedule a phone call. Base collections include 6 hours of coverage and an online gallery of digital images.
My requirement is that I get a slice of your wedding cake. If you’re only serving carrot cake, I will not be your photographer. Vegetables do not belong in dessert.
Will you travel?
I am happy travel all over the world for weddings. I am based out of Boston (good ol’ Logan airport). To date, I’ve photographed weddings in Thailand Jamaica, Italy, Dominican Republic, Canada and much of the continental US.
