As I photographed Chelsea and Jeff’s Gardens at Elm Bank wedding in Wellesley, MA, I realized how much these two love music, their faith, and each other. I had the distinct opportunity to learn how Chelsea and Jeff are in perfect harmony with one another.
It was an early start to a big day, and Chelsea and her seven bridesmaids were getting ready at the Crowne Plaza Boston-Natick Hotel. Everyone was buzzing with good energy, putting on makeup, getting their hair done. Special Event Beauty was there to help the ladies put their faces on. Much to my surprise, the whole group breaks out into song. What song, you ask? “Lose Yourself” by Eminem. Obviously. To quote the bride “That’s not something you’ll get from every wedding party.” She couldn’t have been more right. Just one of the many small details that make Boston wedding photography so rewarding. The bridesmaids were pretty-in-purple in dresses from Jasmine B2, from Pat’s Bridal in Miami. They complimented the purple orchid bouquets nicely, designed by the talented Erica at O Luxe Designs. Any guesses on Chelsea’s favorite color? Hint: She was wearing a purple robe during prep time!
Chelsea’s dress was Maggie Sotero’s “Melanie” from Camilla’s Bridal in Arlington. She looked incredible, and the look on her father’s face when he saw her for the first time was so pure and happy, I am reminded how rewarding Boston Wedding Photography can be – because of these small moments.
Adrienne was there, with Gracie Lou Events, keeping everything in order. I love working with her because not only is she a good friend, but she is excellent at what she does.  Chelsea and Jeff exchanged letters in the lobby of the hotel, still making sure not to see the other. After the letter readings, we were off to the church! The wedding ceremony was held at St. Ignatius Parish, on Boston College’s Campus (reppin’ the couple’s alma mater)!
I have seen many Boston church wedding ceremonies, but theirs had something I’ve never come across: The washing of the feet. The couple take turns and wash each other’s feet as a sign of their love and service to one another.  It was intimate and and special. Chelsea and Jeff did it so lovingly. As a Boston wedding photographer, I enjoy these moments that set some weddings apart.
The Gardens at Elm Bank did not disappoint, and neither did mother nature. The weather was perfect and the guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside with the Camelia Latin Jazz Band tearing it up in the background. Then the party could really start when everyone moved inside . The wedding cake was from Cake for Occasions, decorated beautifully with small purple flowers. Promessa Studios provided videography and filmed incredible moments and beautiful singing.  Capers Catering provided delicious food. DJ John Dolan from C-Zone Entertainment made sure that everyone hit the dance floor!
Cheers to Chelsea and Jeff. I am so happy for you and I wish you all the best 🙂
