Jewish weddings
In Claire and Josh’s inquiry e-mail for their deCordova wedding, they agreed that vegetables have no place in desserts!
The two are rowers and Josh proposed by the Anderson Bridge near Harvard. I loved wandering along the river for the engagement session and getting to know them before their deCordova wedding day.
Claire loves that Josh is willing to try anything!
Claire and her younger brother, who is officiating the wedding, are very close. All three decided to hike the Appalachian trail together and were very excited about it. Josh purchased all of the equipment. Though he had never done much hiking, he kept a positive attitude for the entire 20 miles. Claire says he’s very positive all the time …especially when he got massive blisters on his heels during this hike!
As their relationship progressed, Claire realized that Josh loved pasta!
And so, they made that a big part of their relationship. They love going to new restaurants together, often walking there together. Claire and Josh have enjoyed taking pasta-making classes, and focusing lots of quality time around food, especially chocolate. Reeses are Claire’s favorites. I relate. My husband is also obsessed with Reeses. Though, lately, we’ve been getting into Justin’s Peanut Butter cups. #wefancy.
Claire and Josh had their priorities straight for their deCordova wedding
Their deCordova wedding food was top notch! Not only the main courses, but also their chocolate cake with buttercream frosting, fruit with whipped cream, and TAZA chocolate bar favors. Fun fact: My first commercial photography internship was in the same building at TAZA chocolate. I smelled their deliciousness every morning. I will never forget that smell! Claire’s mom surprised them and their guests with Roxie’s Grilled Cheese food truck at the end of the evening!
Throughout the deCordova wedding, many teased Claire about always keeping her fed and happy.
The two of the bee-lined it to cocktail hour to taste the food that they had so carefully picked out. I feel like my friends tease me about the same thing. I have no shame. Hangry is a real thing. 🙂
Claire and Josh, you’ve been told you two are the perfect couple several times today. I want you to know that I see you for your two black hearts, and loved that that statue spoke to you! May you two always only hold hands for a block or two and to share many amazing meals together. Congratulations to both of you. You both were a joy to photograph!
Special thanks to a wonderful vendor team!
