Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center wedding – Liz + Wayne

The vision was simple:great music (Wayne’s priority – a music and DJ aficionado) and great food and drink (Elizabeth’s priority) in a warm atmosphere with all the people that they both love (shared priority). Wayne cherry picked a handful of his favorite musicians and assembled his own band.  I don’t have another way to emphasize their immense talent.  It was like seeing color for the first time. They were the best I’d ever heard.  It was an added bonus to have random guests from the wedding come up, and belt their hearts out – not in the cheesy karaoke sort-of-way, but in the real “holy crackerjacks, she has PIPES… and needs to go on tour” sort-of-way.  Great music was a no-brainer, as it was catered by the famous Tastyplates!

Wayne and Elizabeth’s wedding at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center was the perfect start to the marriage. They met four years ago on New Year’s eve at a club in Somerville, at a show for a disco/ funk cover band. Dancing and listening good music are common pasttimes of these two.

Mario Perrett on saxophone, Toni Lynn Washington on vocals, and Joe Barger on keyboards. The two wedding guests who stepped in and sang were Johnny Blue Horn (real name is John Moriconi) and Diane Blue.
