On a brisk, wintery day, Brittany and Tj wandered from Western MA into Boston for a day of pub hopping, city roaming, and idyllic ice skating at the Boston Common’s Frog Pond. Little did Brittany know that a shiny ring was hidden in Tj’s pocket. She has absolutely no clue and part of it was probably due to Tj’s brilliant nonchalant diversions. Tj casually mentioned that perhaps they could look rings that morning. (sneaky…) After 6.5 years of being together, Tj dropped down on one knee in the middle of a beautiful ice ring in the Boston Commons and proposed.

Special thanks goes to my rent-a-friends, Rodger and Jason. While I probably could’ve stealthily photographed this proposal on my own (remember – 10th degree black belt in NINJA), it is always much easier (and more fun) to have a few extra eyes helping me. It’s also ideal, because it brings less attention to me, and my minimalist gear. I think everyone in the park probably thought I took a zillion photos of these two guys, when in reality – I was photographing “through” them. I’m not sure if they took the “ninja-photography” description a bit too seriously, because we all had knee-length black wool coats. Hello Asian mafia. 🙂

All the same – thanks very much, boys. You guys rock.
