Boston Christopher Columbus Park Intimate small wedding – Meri + Benedikt

2 minutes and 2 seconds. That’s how long Meri and Benedikt’s beautiful Boston waterfront wedding was! Their officiant said his first word at 4:49:27 and their first kiss was greeted with roaring cheers at 4:51:29 PM! I arrived to Christopher Columbus park on a sunny Friday afternoon, ready for this blissful 18-person wedding. After their super quick Boston waterfront wedding ceremony, we trotted over to the Aquarium docks, where they hired a water taxi to bring them to their reception spot – the delicious Daily Catch seafood restaurant. If anyone hasn’t been there before, you must must must have the black pasta aglio olio style! Mmm… garlic and calamari)

Meri and I had skyped and talked quite a bit about their day prior to their wedding. Even before all that, I knew I liked her when she wrote to me, “You can bring your husky [to the wedding]. I’m Alaskan, so we’ll get along beautifully!” Are you kidding me? These are the best e-mails ever. Side note: Sledder would yank me around wanting to greet everyone. Haha. Meri grew up in Alaska with a small village lifestyle. She says that from there, she learned about emphasis on people and finding things that you are passionate about. I thought that was incredibly special. 🙂 “Confounding paradox”, Meri says. She found a genuine guy who is an easy going, intelligent, focused on research, and a very handsome jock. 🙂

Meri and Bene, I’m eternally grateful to be able to photograph relationships like yours. Ihope these images transcend you back to a day that was intimate, special, and full of love. Your friends and family love you so much. I also hope that your big celebration in Austria is equally as amazing!

Special thanks to the uber talented Jamie Ivans for 2nd shooting with me!
