Elise and Kevin’sTower Hill Botanic Garden wedding was perfectly color coordinated and uniquely them. The two have been together for almost six years and live together with their two cats. Fun fact: They trained their cats to give them high fives when they get home. The two proposed to each other in front of the whale shark tank at Osaka aquarium. Kevin proposed to Elise by taking her on a series of increasingly elaborate dates and then hiding the ring under her pillow (a nice fake-out)! Their favorite activities are dancing, going to concerts, exploring new places (trying new restaurants, wandering around cities or forests, diving, driving through little towns, etc.), cooking and traveling.
In college, Jason and I took a trip together, and I feel like that solidified our relationship. I realized how much I enjoyed spending time with him and how compatible we were together. After Elise’s graduation, she had planned to move to California and sadly, Kevin had planned to remain on the East Coast. As a final “goodbye trip” before they split up, Kevin and Elise went to the Montreal Jazz Festival.
Elise loved exploring the city and was impressed with how great Kevin was to travel with. And the music was great! Checking out of the family run hotel where we stayed, the gregarious inn keeper told them how cute we were and that they should come back with their kids. This trip really showed them so many things – how compatible they were, how much fun they had when they were together, and ultimately, how in love they were. The two decided to stay together and work through the distance.
I love that Kevin and Elise communicate with each other so well. They both challenge each other, deeply admire each other, and to put it simply – they have so much fun together. Their Tower Hill Botanic Garden wedding was casual and polished at the same time. They were surrounded by friends that loved them and family members that adore them. My favorite thing was their nacho cheese fountain during the cocktail hour. My second favorite thing was that they had a ceremonial coffee plant planting during their Tower Hill Botanic Garden wedding ceremony!
