When I asked Phuong and David to tell me about ways they thought they were a perfect fit, they said that they have never questioned their love for each other. They unselfishly have always put the other first. Phuong said it was hard to explain, but then eloquently expresses that she feels like she falls in love every single day and never gets sick of the other person (a major plus!). The two are a wonderful pair of easy-going and go-with-the-flow type of people. They make it a priority to take a tropical vacation each year, perfecting their skills of being beach bums. I do hope that you make your goal of visiting all of the Caribbean islands (and then stretch to the Asian tropical islands, because those are beautiful, too!).
On the morning of their wedding, I spent the “getting ready” portion with Phuong at her sister’s home. She tells me about how she had purchased shoes for the wedding, but then David quickly shot them down, only to gift her a shiny pair of red soles! When I met them for their engagement session, I was immediately intimidated by this attractive power couple. 🙂 Check out David and Phuong’s Boston skyline engagement session photographs at MIT in Cambridge. David struck me as the modern renaissance man, a well-dressed gentleman, a man’s man, but also an caring and compasionate husband. He and his groomsmen donned custom suits from New York’s Indochino. Not to worry, Phuong. You’re beautiful, too. 😉
Phuong’s closest friends surrounded her during the getting ready portion, a nerve-wracking, but exciting time of the day. I later realized that the two are experts in surrounding themselves with wonderful friends. Almost half of their wedding was filled with Phuong’s sorority sisters and David’s fraternity brothers. They all enjoyed a beautiful waterfront outdoor wedding at the Danversport Yacht Club, a venue north of Boston with ample outdoor space. I loved being able to photograph their wedding portraits by the water with hints of green grass and trees. It was a perfect Boston summer wedding venue! Their ballroom was gigantic, with tall ceilings and beautiful natural light. With a focus on a great party scheme, Phuong and David had vivid uplighting, which splashed colors all over the the Danversport Yacht Club’s walls.
To top off their evening, Phuong made cupcakes in jars as her favors.
I adore you. HOW AWESOME. 🙂
