Larz Anderson Park Wedding in Brookline, MA

Some say that they were lucky. I think it was karma. Madeline and Adam had an incredible Larz Anderson Park Wedding.

I liked these two before I even met them. They both work in education. Adam, high school math, computer science and engineering teacher, and Madeline, an elementary school psychologist. Instead of traditional wedding favors, they donated to The Malala Fund. They’ve rescued two of the friendliest golden retrievers – Toby and Jake. Madeline seems to collect cool jewelry from places that she’s traveled to. The two of them share this passion of traveling, exploring, and being goofy along the way.

Even though I have back from Greece for a well, I’m still slightly jetlagged. It’s not awful, though. I sleep at 11pm and wake up at 7am, like a normal person! (Normally, I’m up WAY later than I should… usually editing or YouTubing silly dog videos.)  I woke up earlier than my alarm and did my normal pre-wedding routine of packing snacks, applying extra deodorant, and triple checking all of my gear that I packed the night before. In the middle of double checking my flash modifiers, my phone erupted in furious rage. ALERT – Severe weather! Tornadoes and flash flooding. Yikes. Oh, and their ceremony was an outdoor Larz Anderson Park Wedding without a rain plan. Well, we did have a rain plan: umbrellas. 🙂

It’s Boston. I’m prepared for rain, snow, drought, and a heatwave all in one day. I have everything I need in my car. I finish packing my snacks and head off. I meet Madeline and Sarah at their salon. The two have been friends since birth because their mothers are also best friends! As usual, the weather turns quickly. It stops raining by the time Madeline and Sarah are beautified by the ladies at La Beautique Salon.

I loved how much effort Adam and Madeline put into their Larz Anderson Park Wedding Ceremony. Sarah’s fiance operated the music for the processional and recessional. Sarah and Adam’s brother, Matt, walked Toby and Jake down the aisle. There was beautiful cloud cover and even a little sun peeking out. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Tornado, thanks for staying out of Boston. 🙂

Their evening ended with a beautiful wedding dinner at The Farmhouse in Needham, MA where Sarah, Matt, and Madeline’s father gave heartfelt speeches.

Madeline and Adam, I had an awesome time at your wedding. Thanks for having me. Enjoy Sri Lanka! 🙂
