A Perfect Alden Castle Wedding
It’s hard to believe it’s already almost April. Time seems to be flying by so quickly that it feels important to take some time to remember the important things that have already happened this year. On that note, let me tell you about how 2018 started for us!
Kelly and Justin have been together for years and are the best of friends. They love going to the beach, hanging out with friends and going on adventures. Really, they would be happy doing anything as long they’re together!
After years of romance they decided to get married and they wanted it to be a party to remember. What better date to choose than New Year’s Eve! Friends and family gathered at the Alden Castle in Brookline for the beautiful ceremony and reception. Everyone wore lots of gold, sparkles and sequins! Kelly looked absolutely stunning in her dress that truly seemed like the perfect fit for a New Year’s wedding. People danced like crazy while waiting for midnight! Closing off 2017 wasn’t just fun because of the party, but also because I was doing what I love most.
Thank you Kelly and Justin for the great time and we wish you all the best for many years to come!
A beautiful wedding in Worcester.
The Saint George Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester is a beautiful location in which to tie the knot. Whether the wedding party is large or small, the space is all-encompassing and welcoming to everyone. Katya and George married on a chilly but bright and sunny day in January, with only their closest friends by their side. One of them spent the entire time ducked behind a podium to discreetly capture the precious moment on his camcorder! That’s the sign of a good friendship if you ask me. Their bigger ceremony is planned to take place later on this year, in Lebanon. It’s expected to be a huge party with a lot of family and friends!
The light was spilling through the windows just right as Katya made her way down the aisle. The stained glass windows made for a gorgeous color show, and she was absolutely stunning. Her dress, hair, makeup, and bouquet were all perfect! The combination of the church decorations and the details of her gown made the entire wedding seem ornate, but the closeness of everyone attending and the small size of the group kept it simple.
The traditional ceremony took place with great care and had everyone smiling. Rings were exchanged, incense was lit and a new union was created! I had an amazing time capturing this moment for these two! After having been together for ten years already, they seem to know exactly what they’re doing and how to make each other happy. George was camera shy at first, but with Katya’s encouragement and my directions, we got all the beautiful shots we hoped for!
We are sure their bigger ceremony will be a total blast, but we’re happy to have witnessed this little private event that felt so special to everyone. Sometimes a calmer environment makes the moment that much more special.
Congratulations to the happy newlyweds and best of luck in all your future endeavors!

Surrounded by friends and family, Julianne and Michael had a beautiful January Harvard Club of Boston wedding. Having met through the Christian Fellowship group while attending Harvard Business School, it only made sense that they get married in the place that has been so central to their relationship. As Julianne puts it, “Cambridge, in particular Harvard, is very special to us, since that is where we met and spent most of our time getting to know each other. We took many walks in the yard and have many fond memories of date nights in the square!”
Being big foodies, Julianne and Michael bonded over trying new restaurants and cooking together. Food really is the quickest way to a person’s heart! Since she is from Florida, Julianne relied on Michael’s Canadian roots to help her survive through the harsh Boston winter and said she could not have done it without him. If they aren’t sipping wine or cooking dinner together, they can most likely be found jogging along the Charles or reading books in Harvard Yard.
Although the snow was coming down outside, the Harvard Club of Boston wedding was filled with the warmth and love of everyone in attendance on their wedding night. It was an event filled with laughing, crying, goofy dance moves, but most importantly, an abundance of joy for the newlyweds. As they drove off in their limousine at the end of it all, the excitement for their new life together was evident on Julianne and Michael’s faces.

Julie and Yimi’s Boston Harbor Hotel wedding warms my heart when I think about them. When I spoke to Julie, she seemed so excited about everything – fun wedding guests, epic portraits, and drinking a beer/wine/whiskey during her wedding. My most absolute favorite moment from their day was their first look. Even I teared up a little! 😃
Weddings are fascinating to me because for this one day, all the feels come out. It’s a day where people willingly stand up (sometimes a bit of coaxing is needed) and profess their love to their friends and family. Can you imagine a world where these sort of emotions ran freely a bit more often? monthly? weekly? Maybe that’s too much of the feels… haha! Either way, this wedding certainly had incredible loving relationships – ones that have lasted quite a while. ie: Jamie and his little brother, Mike, who is “the best brother any guy could ask for”… or watching Katie’s parents on the dance floor. Her dad actually picked up his wife, squeezed her a bit, and spun her around. I want that for my 25+ year marriage! I believe that these beautiful friendships are a testament to the kind and genuine natures of Katie and Jamie. Christie, Katie’s maid of honor, have been friends for over 20 years. The two could reminisce for hours about funny childhood stories. The day before Katie and Jamie’s wedding, Christie wrote a letter to her best friend. She wrote, “Today marks the beginning of an ew chapter, one you will write with James, but before there was Jamie, there was ‘Katie + Christie’.” She talks about how happy she has been the past week recounting fond memories and how relieved she is that Jamie is taking her place as the best friend.
