Zofia and Joe’s Seaside New Hampshire Wedding was beautiful.
The combination of perfect weather, waves crashing in the background, incredible decorations, and loving guests made this wedding impossible to forget. It was elegant, it was full of love, and it was a joy to be a part of.
Zofia and Joe met for the first time in college.
When asked when he knew that Zofia was the one, Joe immediately recalls the first time she walked into his townhouse. He was living with his buddies in his last semester at St. Anselm College and was floored when he saw her. He knew he wanted to be her partner in crime. Many happy years have gone by and Joe’s first reaction was right! They still love going on adventures together. From scuba diving to hanging out with their dog, Ava, these two are inseparable.
Coordinating and decorating your own wedding is no small feat.
Zofia and her mother, Iwona, coordinated and created all the invitations, place cards, stationery, and decorations for the whole wedding! Talk about dedicated. The amount of work that goes into doing that is out of this world. Not only did they create all that, but it was all so beautiful. Every last detail was perfect and it all came together perfectly. The whole weekend came together perfectly! I feel so lucky when I get to play a part in days like these. Everyone that was in attendance will remember Zofia and Joe’s wedding forever. Each event was planned and coordinated with such care that the only focus was on the love that was shared between these two. As the moon rose over the ocean, everyone danced the night away. I wish these two all the best in their future adventures together.

When Mindy, Walter, and I first spoke about their The University of Massachusetts Club Wedding, I remember them saying, “We love more genuine emotion vs more formal pictures”. YES. Awesome. I feel like the three of us clicked right away. I understood where they came from. They wanted/needed the formal images (portraits and table groupings) for their families, but also granted towards the documentary approach – because they wanted their wedding photographs to help them relive the emotions and ambiance of the day. I could tell immediately that they would love colorful candid photos of them having fun with their friends.
When I asked Candy what she and Derek liked to do together, she said, “Breakfast, Naps, Indian Food, Paintball”. Although, if I asked Derek, I’m sure that he’d re-order that and put paintball first! Their wedding at Easton Country Club was uniquely them. From the purple accents in all of the decor – Candy’s favorite color, to Derek’s black on black on black” to framed Dr. Seuss quotes, their wedding was unique reflective of the two of them.
I am weird, you are weird. Everyone in this world is weird. One day two people come together in mutual weirdness and fall in love.” – Dr. Seuss
They selected the Easton Country Club because of a two gorgeous rows of lined trees in the back of the country club. We hopped on golf carts and were able to create some awesome portraits of the two of them.
I loved that in the morning, Derek and his groomsmen were playing Magic cards as they waited for the ceremony to start. Also prior to the ceremony, Derek work a shirt that said “game over” with a cartoon drawing of two people getting married. When people asked him how he felt, he responded, “She’s been my wife for a long time now!”
I also love the little details the guys sported. Groomsmen were gifted silver iron man cufflinks and tie clips. The two ring bearers had colored iron man cufflinks. Candy gifted Derek the punisher cufflinks!
Back in college when Jason and I first started dating, I thought ice skating would be a cute date. We’d trot along. We’d hold hands. We’d stop for hot chocolate. It’d be perfect! Jason grew up in Hong Kong so I figured that he wouldn’t have been exposed to many winter sports. I also assumed he’d be falling quite a bit, and I, meanly, thought it would be perfect. For the first time ever, I thought I found something that I thought I’d be better than him in. Oh, how wrong I was… on so many levels.
