Fairytale, rustic, or nature-based, Boston wedding photographer, Nicole Chan, will do many sun-dances in hopes that you have perfect weather for your Boston outdoor wedding ceremony and reception.
Some say that they were lucky. I think it was karma. Madeline and Adam had an incredible Larz Anderson Park Wedding.
I liked these two before I even met them. They both work in education. Adam, high school math, computer science and engineering teacher, and Madeline, an elementary school psychologist. Instead of traditional wedding favors, they donated to The Malala Fund. They’ve rescued two of the friendliest golden retrievers – Toby and Jake. Madeline seems to collect cool jewelry from places that she’s traveled to. The two of them share this passion of traveling, exploring, and being goofy along the way.
Even though I have back from Greece for a well, I’m still slightly jetlagged. It’s not awful, though. I sleep at 11pm and wake up at 7am, like a normal person! (Normally, I’m up WAY later than I should… usually editing or YouTubing silly dog videos.) I woke up earlier than my alarm and did my normal pre-wedding routine of packing snacks, applying extra deodorant, and triple checking all of my gear that I packed the night before. In the middle of double checking my flash modifiers, my phone erupted in furious rage. ALERT – Severe weather! Tornadoes and flash flooding. Yikes. Oh, and their ceremony was an outdoor Larz Anderson Park Wedding without a rain plan. Well, we did have a rain plan: umbrellas. 🙂
It’s Boston. I’m prepared for rain, snow, drought, and a heatwave all in one day. I have everything I need in my car. I finish packing my snacks and head off. I meet Madeline and Sarah at their salon. The two have been friends since birth because their mothers are also best friends! As usual, the weather turns quickly. It stops raining by the time Madeline and Sarah are beautified by the ladies at La Beautique Salon.
I loved how much effort Adam and Madeline put into their Larz Anderson Park Wedding Ceremony. Sarah’s fiance operated the music for the processional and recessional. Sarah and Adam’s brother, Matt, walked Toby and Jake down the aisle. There was beautiful cloud cover and even a little sun peeking out. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Tornado, thanks for staying out of Boston. 🙂
Their evening ended with a beautiful wedding dinner at The Farmhouse in Needham, MA where Sarah, Matt, and Madeline’s father gave heartfelt speeches.
Madeline and Adam, I had an awesome time at your wedding. Thanks for having me. Enjoy Sri Lanka! 🙂

The backdrop for Tiffany and Micah’s Cliff House Wedding was breathtaking.
Perched on the cliffs in Cape Neddick, Maine the Cliff House is dramatic in its beauty. The jagged rocks and relentless waves crashing set quite the scene for the happy couple’s wedding. With the sun setting and sailboats passing lazily by, you could tell that Tiffany and Micah knew they had chosen the perfect place to be married.
Tiffany and Micah’s fairytale almost ended abruptly after one night.
After a night out at a bar in Boston, Micah lost his phone in a cab on the way home. Typically this would be just an inconvenience, but on this particular night, he had gotten the number of a beautiful girl that he had just met. After a week of frantically searching the internet for her, Micah ended up calling every number on his phone bill and finally heard Tiffany on the other end of the line. If that doesn’t sound like the start to a Rom-Com, I don’t know what does! Years later and they are still happily living life together.
According to Tiffany, their relationship follows the saying “opposites attract”.
Micah is a “big dork” (her loving words) while she… isn’t. Despite this, they connect over their love for food and travel. With 5 countries in their rearview mirror, they both can’t wait to keep exploring. Their fun-loving nature came through all night long as Tiffany danced in her high-top Converse. The Cliff House wedding space was filled with joy on this special night and we hope the rest of their life is filled with nights like this one!

Brittany and Andrew had a lovely outdoor The Barn at Gibbet Hill wedding, officiated by their friend Jill. Jill set them up by leaving them standing in the Shake Shake Shack line back in 2008. Andrew says, “She introduced me to this woman in line and then left us in line together for like an hour and a half to stand there and just talk to each other. It’s actually, as it turns out, a really amazing way to be set up, because there’s a bunch of stuff to look at, so you don’t just have to talk about each other. You can comment on all the people around you. You both have a reason to not just stare at each other because you’re facing straight ahead. It’s a lot less awkward than any other kind of set up that I’ve ever had.” Here’s the story: (http://nymag.com/thecut/2016/04/5-stories-of-finding-love-while-waiting-in-line.html) Also, their wedding rehearsal dinner was catered by Shake Shack!
“We click because we’re complements. An INTJ and an ENFP; good at different tasks; amused by different things; different temperaments; different coasts. Andrew drinks five espressos a day and I am still working off a cup of coffee from two weeks ago. But we have similar values and similar aspirations.
Our favorite thing is our dog, Blinker. I had wanted a dog for 15 years and we moved to a dog friendly apartment a year ago to finally make that happen. Blink is quite shy but the most affectionate thing once she warms up! When we’re away from Blinker, we spend our time eating our way through tasting menus and making craft cocktails. To harken back to our first date at David Chang’s Momofuku Ssam Bar, we’re having Momofuku Milk Bar provide our wedding cake and will be handing out their compost cookies at the end of the night as well. ”
Elise and Kevin’sTower Hill Botanic Garden wedding was perfectly color coordinated and uniquely them. The two have been together for almost six years and live together with their two cats. Fun fact: They trained their cats to give them high fives when they get home. The two proposed to each other in front of the whale shark tank at Osaka aquarium. Kevin proposed to Elise by taking her on a series of increasingly elaborate dates and then hiding the ring under her pillow (a nice fake-out)! Their favorite activities are dancing, going to concerts, exploring new places (trying new restaurants, wandering around cities or forests, diving, driving through little towns, etc.), cooking and traveling.
