Shrutih and Neel’s Taj Boston wedding was regal in its beauty.
Every single detail from Shrutih’s stunning dresses to the beautiful Mandap provided by Love Decor was incredible. The attention to detail was clear everywhere you looked. This attention to detail showed in the couple’s personality, as well. Their attention to each other, to their family, to their guests. They were so inclusive and thoughtful of everyone in attendance. That kind of all-encompassing love is rare.
Their first date included arcades, macarons, and delicious food!
After meeting while attending different law schools, the two of them moved to different cities and drifted apart for a while. Like so many beautiful love stories, however, they were reunited. They started dating after they met five years ago! On their first date, Neel planned an extravagant night full of arcade games, macarons, and a Michelin starred restaurant! Once that spark had been reignited, Shrutih and Neel knew that they were meant to be together.
The two always have each other’s back
They both love to debate each other about politics, law, or the best Bollywood movies. Shrutih says that although they can debate for hours on end in private, they always act as a team in public. They know that they have each other’s back no matter what. This support was clear throughout their wedding weekend. With so many guests and events, it is easy to get stressed out, but these two overcame each thing hand-in-hand. Their bond is a special one. Their wedding was incredible. It was so full of love, tears, and some of the best dancing I have ever seen! I had such a great time getting to know these two and wish them all the best in their future.

Natalie and Ryu’s Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel was traditional and modern.
Even though it was cold and rainy outside, Natalie and Ryu’s personalities kept everyone happy. Their day started off with an epic Nerf gun fight after Natalie’s bridesmaids made an obstacle course of streamers and syran wrap for the traditional Chinese door games! What could be more fun than that? I have never had to dodge flying foam bullets before, but it definitely made for a memorable experience. Spirits started high and stayed like that all the way until the last dance of the night.
Laughter is an important part of Natalie and Ryu’s relationship.
This was clearly evident from the outside! They made our job of getting them to smile much easier by doing it on their own. The couple is also incredibly supportive of each other. Whether it is going through tough times in real life or in their favorite video game, Borderlands, they both know that they will always be there for one another. Though they are busy with work, they love to run, catch crabs, and search for their next favorite restaurant in their free time. Their relationship is filled with laughter, which is I think is essential to a happy marriage.
Natalie and Ryu were surrounded by their family on their special day at their Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel wedding.
The amount of family and friends that came out and were so supportive on their wedding day was so incredible to see. They both are clearly family-oriented people and that made for an incredibly special experience for everyone in attendance. Natalie and Ryu braved the wind and the rain for a picture and that just shows who they are. Fun loving, carefree, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the best experience. I had such a great time getting to know them and hope the next step in their life is full of happiness!

The backdrop for Tiffany and Micah’s Cliff House Wedding was breathtaking.
Perched on the cliffs in Cape Neddick, Maine the Cliff House is dramatic in its beauty. The jagged rocks and relentless waves crashing set quite the scene for the happy couple’s wedding. With the sun setting and sailboats passing lazily by, you could tell that Tiffany and Micah knew they had chosen the perfect place to be married.
Tiffany and Micah’s fairytale almost ended abruptly after one night.
After a night out at a bar in Boston, Micah lost his phone in a cab on the way home. Typically this would be just an inconvenience, but on this particular night, he had gotten the number of a beautiful girl that he had just met. After a week of frantically searching the internet for her, Micah ended up calling every number on his phone bill and finally heard Tiffany on the other end of the line. If that doesn’t sound like the start to a Rom-Com, I don’t know what does! Years later and they are still happily living life together.
According to Tiffany, their relationship follows the saying “opposites attract”.
Micah is a “big dork” (her loving words) while she… isn’t. Despite this, they connect over their love for food and travel. With 5 countries in their rearview mirror, they both can’t wait to keep exploring. Their fun-loving nature came through all night long as Tiffany danced in her high-top Converse. The Cliff House wedding space was filled with joy on this special night and we hope the rest of their life is filled with nights like this one!

Emily and Shas’s Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson wedding was an incredibly fun two-day experience.
Blending both traditional Hindu and western events meant packing a lot of excitement into the weekend. The fusion of two entirely different cultures made the wedding that much more special, and is in many ways symbolic of the merging of Emily’s and Shas’s contrasting personalities.
Emily and Shas are a hilarious duo.
Between Emily’s bubbly enthusiasm and Shas’s sarcastic cynicism, the two are able to balance each other out. Despite being so different, they share an admittedly dark sense of humor and have a deep respect for one another. Shas realized that Emily was the one when she was planning to visit him in Chicago and he realized how excited he was to see her. He called her right then and there, at 3am, and told her he loved her. Emily had the same realization when she was taking a cab to the airport from Shas’s apartment. The cab driver looked over at her, smiled, and said, “You love him very much. I can tell.”
Our fun started on Friday night with an energetic Mehndi to get the party started.
Emily came in wearing a beautiful saree with stunning jewelry to match, and her hands were decorated in intricate and gorgeous mehndi. She and Shas made their rounds, joking and laughing with everyone they spoke to. Emily and her husband-to-be then sat at the front of a stage and the performances began. Shas’s father kicked off the evening with a quick welcome speech and the singing of a beautiful ballad for the happy couple. What followed were dances by the children at the event, several songs performed by a guitar-wielding cousin (accompanied by several other family members), and finally two dancers that brought the entire crowd onto the floor to join them.
The Baraat kicked off the following Saturday.
Shas sat upon an elegantly adorned white horse and followed his friends and family as they danced along the water and toward the site of the ceremony. Upbeat music and rhythmic drumming kept the energy high as the crowd progressed. Emily and her bridesmaids could be seen on the rooftop deck watching the procession below and waving to all of the baraatis. Upon reaching their destination, several dance circles opened up and everyone had the chance to shine. Shas dismounted the horse and danced his way to the front where his mother and grandmother stood.
Immediately after, they started the Hindi ceremony.
The mandaap at the front was beautifully decorated in jewels and elegant drapes hanging from the pillars. The officiant was careful to explain every step of the procession, knowing that half of the attendees were unfamiliar. At some point during the ceremony, the bridesmaids were able to steal Shas’s shoes that were left on the side of the mandaap. What followed was a hilarious back-and-forth bargaining for them. After a lot of joking and teasing, Shas gave in and paid the laughing women in exchange for his footwear.
Later in the afternoon, the happy couple readied themselves for the western ceremony.
They shared a special first look together by the water. Despite having already seen each other earlier that day, both Shas and Emily seemed just as in awe as if they hadn’t seen each other in months. Emily’s bubbly nature was obvious from the amount of giggling that occurred as her smirking husband held her close. The couple came back to the hotel and jumped right into their second ceremony. The mood went from sweet and emotional as Emily and Shas read their vows, to raucous laughter as the officiant shared Emily’s true feelings about Shas when they had first met (she found him a tad too arrogant for her taste).
The lovely ceremony led to a very lively reception.
Some of the best food I have ever eaten was served (I no joke had three full plates – thank you Bukhara!). Family and friends made absolutely hilarious speeches that had the whole crowd in stitches. Despite the amount of delicious food that was served, everyone in the room was on their feet and dancing the night away as soon as the opportunity arose. A drummer stayed in the middle of the crowd keeping the beat with the music while several people broke out into solos, including the bride and groom. I have never seen so much energy and fun in my life as I did on that dance floor. People of all ages were bouncing up and down the entire night.
I am so grateful to have been a part of this giant celebration and I wish Shas and Emily all the best moving forward!

Karen and Kevin’s Royal Sonesta wedding took place on a beautiful summer night by the water. The day was in a celebration for two events; it was not only the day of Karen and Kevin’s holy matrimony but also Kevin’s birthday. This made the excitement that much greater and the celebration that much sweeter.
Karen and Kevin come from very different backgrounds and in fact grew up in two separate countries, which is part of what makes them such a unique and interesting couple.
They both embrace their differences and are constantly learning from one another. Their bond is strengthened by their travels together, such as their very first trip together to Miami, or their first road trip together to Montreal. Kevin sealed the deal when he visited Karen’s family for 3 weeks where he lost money to the family playing cards and helped Karen’s mother fix the TV. They both lead very active lifestyles, though in different ways. Karen loves dancing and going to the gym while Kevin prefers cycling and jiu-jitsu.
We started the day with Karen as she got her hair and makeup was done by Special Event Beauty. She looked absolutely stunning even before she slipped into her form-fitting and elegant lace dress. When finishing getting dressed, Karen’s mother was sure to be the one to fix the veil to her daughter’s beautifully curled hair. The adoration she has for her daughter was clear in her actions, like when she delicately adjusted the lacy headpiece or when she just watched with a soft smile as Karen posed for picture after picture in the sunlight by the window.
When getting ready to walk out the door for first-look, Karen discovered that she could see Kevin standing by the water outside her window.
Never have I seen a smile come to someone’s face so quickly. She covered her mouth and laughed. She waved over her mom, sisters, and niece to see her husband-to-be waiting for her. They took a moment to watch him and chatter before ushering Karen out the door and onto the first look. Even in heels, Karen was quick to make her way outside and to her fiancé’s location.
There is no doubt that Kevin and Karen have an intense chemistry and love to be around each other. From their first look on, the two took every chance to kiss, both on and off the camera. The two just couldn’t stay apart once they were brought together. After sharing several moments together, Karen broke from Kevin to retrieve his birthday gift. She helped him open the small blue bag and gifted him a pair of cufflinks! It was clear from the beginning that the two like to do things their own way, and aren’t bound by what’s expected.
The Royal Sonesta wedding ceremony was intimate and unplugged.
The officiant made off-script jokes and the couple even decided to bring some chairs up to the front so they could sit down. The atmosphere was light and fun, not stiff and serious like so many ceremonies are. There was no shortage of laughter, especially as the guests threw flower petals at the newly married couple as they walked down the aisle.
The Royal Sonesta wedding reception was a giant dance party. Immediately after some humorous speeches in both English and Spanish, the dance floor opened and the celebrating really began. Due to the couple’s mixed backgrounds, the song selection was a mod podge of popular English jams, energetic Latin ditties, and Spanish renditions of English hits. The floor was full, and seemingly everyone was a grade A dancer. The energy never dropped, and the party went well into the night.
Karen and Kevin were incredibly fun to work with and definitely knew how to throw a proper Royal Sonesta wedding celebration . I wish them all the best as they venture together through their marriage!

Julie and Yimi’s Boston Harbor Hotel wedding warms my heart when I think about them. When I spoke to Julie, she seemed so excited about everything – fun wedding guests, epic portraits, and drinking a beer/wine/whiskey during her wedding. My most absolute favorite moment from their day was their first look. Even I teared up a little! 😃
