A Perfect Alden Castle Wedding
It’s hard to believe it’s already almost April. Time seems to be flying by so quickly that it feels important to take some time to remember the important things that have already happened this year. On that note, let me tell you about how 2018 started for us!
Kelly and Justin have been together for years and are the best of friends. They love going to the beach, hanging out with friends and going on adventures. Really, they would be happy doing anything as long they’re together!
After years of romance they decided to get married and they wanted it to be a party to remember. What better date to choose than New Year’s Eve! Friends and family gathered at the Alden Castle in Brookline for the beautiful ceremony and reception. Everyone wore lots of gold, sparkles and sequins! Kelly looked absolutely stunning in her dress that truly seemed like the perfect fit for a New Year’s wedding. People danced like crazy while waiting for midnight! Closing off 2017 wasn’t just fun because of the party, but also because I was doing what I love most.
Thank you Kelly and Justin for the great time and we wish you all the best for many years to come!
The Commons 1854 is a beautiful place for a wedding.
Even more so when the couple getting married is as sweet as Marjan and Roy. Ever since meeting in grad school at BU, these two have been attached at the hip. They conquer every day as a team, united in their love for each other. When asked why she loves Roy, Marjan says that he is everything that she never knew she wanted. Sweet, supportive, and dedicated to their relationship. These qualities all showed during their wedding day and it was a joy to watch them interact.
Like all relationships, Marjan and Roy have their tough days.
What sets them apart is how they handle those tough days. They both are incredibly supportive and go out of their way to help each other every day. Roy says that even when they are both rushing out the door, Marjan never fails to make sure he has everything he needs for the day. “It’s wonderful knowing she is there to be my partner and go the extra mile for me.” After five years together, they are still quick to laugh. Taking themselves seriously has never been part of their personalities, so their days are filled with goofy jokes. Whether they are shredding the slopes or enjoying breakfast in bed, these two are happiest when they are together.
Marjan and Roy’s wedding day ended with amazing dancing.
Their ceremony was so beautiful. The table they sat at was ornately decorated with honey, spices, sweets, and many other traditional Persian wedding items. The weather was perfect, the guests were gushing with joy, and Marjan and Roy were so adorably excited all day. Being able to be a part of weddings like these is a special privilege. Standing next to Marjan and Roy as they declared their love for each other was a beautiful moment and I am so happy to have been a part of this day. I wish them all the best in their future adventures together!

Natalie and Ryu’s Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel was traditional and modern.
Even though it was cold and rainy outside, Natalie and Ryu’s personalities kept everyone happy. Their day started off with an epic Nerf gun fight after Natalie’s bridesmaids made an obstacle course of streamers and syran wrap for the traditional Chinese door games! What could be more fun than that? I have never had to dodge flying foam bullets before, but it definitely made for a memorable experience. Spirits started high and stayed like that all the way until the last dance of the night.
Laughter is an important part of Natalie and Ryu’s relationship.
This was clearly evident from the outside! They made our job of getting them to smile much easier by doing it on their own. The couple is also incredibly supportive of each other. Whether it is going through tough times in real life or in their favorite video game, Borderlands, they both know that they will always be there for one another. Though they are busy with work, they love to run, catch crabs, and search for their next favorite restaurant in their free time. Their relationship is filled with laughter, which is I think is essential to a happy marriage.
Natalie and Ryu were surrounded by their family on their special day at their Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel wedding.
The amount of family and friends that came out and were so supportive on their wedding day was so incredible to see. They both are clearly family-oriented people and that made for an incredibly special experience for everyone in attendance. Natalie and Ryu braved the wind and the rain for a picture and that just shows who they are. Fun loving, carefree, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the best experience. I had such a great time getting to know them and hope the next step in their life is full of happiness!

Michelle and Joe’s Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center Wedding was charming in every way.
From the thoughtful goodie bags to the adorable figurines on the cake, it was clear how excited the couple were for their big day. They even had ice cream sandwiches with whole cookies before the ceremony! Sign me up for any wedding where the bride and groom care as much about their guests as Michelle and Joe did.
Learning is central to their lives.
Even after getting their graduate degrees at Northeastern and Harvard, Michelle and Joe have never stopped the pursuit of knowledge. They frequent museums, read books together, and travel extensively. Joe says that “even when things don’t go according to plan, I feel happy being around Michelle and I know that we’ll still have a good time together.” That is certainly the best attitude to have about your wife. Joe’s caring nature is what made Michelle fall in love with him. From rescuing her shoes from the ocean to always having snacks on hand, Michelle loves how he is always thinking of her. Their mutual affection and desire to keep improving is admirable and is a strong foundation for their future life together.
Their Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center Wedding was so fun.
Surrounded by all their friends and family, Michelle and Joe were married under an assortment of flowers and hops. Their reception was full of laughing, silly dancing, and a few tears. The food was delicious (thank you Saltbox), Big Party Orchestra kept everyone moving to the beat, and Mayflour Confection’s cake was to die for. Michelle and Joe’s wedding was perfect and we wish them all the best on their honeymoon in Spain!

Ali and Adrian’s Boston State Room wedding was elegant, artistic, and full of life. Their wedding weekend kicked off with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony at the Langham Hotel, where Ali and Adrian offered cups of tea to their families to say thank you for their support and love. Ali donned a beautiful red Chinese gown for this beautiful traditional Chinese ceremony.
The next day, I was thrilled to see the unique decor of their Boston State Room wedding. Large navy blue flats surrounded the room, alongside beautiful statement pieces in front of them. Couches and chairs were abundant, which was perfect for their open-seating dinner. Their tables had beautiful decor in earthy tones and even featured red delicious apples! Their Boston State Room wedding ceremony was on the upper floor of the Great Room at 60 State Street and incorporated stores of the show Glee. I remember thinking that their ceremony was unique and emphasized commitment. There’s no doubt that Ali and Adrian are two incredibly focused people, and that their bond to each other is incredibly strong. I’m so thrilled for my two beautiful friends. Cheers to a long and joyous marriage. 😃
