Crystal and Jeff
Your e-mail made my day! Jeff and I just went through all the pictures together (though I took a sneak peek this afternoon!) and it was just fantastic to relive the entirety of the wedding day, especially through your lens. I love your ability to capture all the happiness and joy of your subjects. The wedding pictures, like the amazing engagement pictures you took, achieve an excellent balance of romance, joy, and goofiness. From the moment we met you, I really felt a connection, that you understood us, and understood the importance of warmth and laughter in everything. Your understanding of us really showed through the pictures; they had an intimacy that I am so glad that was captured. I especially loved the shots at the ceremony, they evoke memories of all the hilarious joyful moments! I can’t believe all the wonderful things you did the day of the wedding; you, Brianna, and Karen were amazing! Very easy to work with, very patient as we dealt with last minute details, and not at all intrusive. I am also especially thankful for the last eleventh hour snack before I went down the aisle; I really needed it! I only had a sliver of a chance to see the sneak peek shots on the screen after dinner, but I was PSYCHED and they looked so great!
My guests RAVED about them, and about being able to take engagement pics home with them; everybody had to show me which one they chose! My fb friends LOVED the sneak peek shots, and I was FLOORED when I saw the shot of us dancing the next day! I love that you dove into our wedding, with all its humor and nerdiness. Your energy is infectious and I’m so glad to have been able to communicate with you throughout the planning process. Thank you again for your recommendations for makeup artists and celebrants. You’ve been so responsive, creative, and fun to work with. Nicole, you are so talented, and it thrills me to see that talent grow even more with every incredible blog/facebook post. We are so happy and privileged to have had you as our photographer, and I am looking forward to seeing even more beautiful things on your blog!
I’m so thrilled you had such a good time hanging out with us at BC, and at the wedding; we loved working with you. You GOT us. There was no explaining, apologies, etc., it was just that easy. I truly felt that the moment we met, your personality and ours just found partners in crime. You’re sooo easy to be around, and you knew just what kind of images and moments meant the most to us. I’ve gotten sooo many compliments regarding my wedding pictures: their uniqueness, the warmth and personality, the lovely intimacy, and the sheer gorgeousness of color and happiness. I have many of them on a digital photo frame at work, and my colleagues and I all like to pause every once in a while and admire :D.
I’m so happy you enjoyed working with us as much as we enjoyed working with you; your energy and enthusiasm is felt through your narration and your choice of pictures. It’s something that I love about all the posts you put up on your blog: Adventures with Nicole! :DI love their colorful engagement session on Boston College’s campus, showcasing gorgeous foliage and The Publick house, one of their favorite spots!

We knew Nicole was “the one” (photographer) for us since the moment we Skyped with her last year. Oddly we met a couple of photographers in person and we just didn’t “click” with them like we did with Nicole through our laptop screen. Nicole is so easy to work with and made us feel at ease and comfortable. When she showed up IRL (in real life) on our wedding day – also the first time we met F2F- it was like seeing an old friend. Her sense of humor and calm, unassuming demeanor helped us relax as she and her crew captured our special day. We received our photos quickly – within 2.5 weeks and even included a beautiful slideshow preview before we got all of our beautiful images. Working with Nicole’s studio manager, Karen, was also amazing. Karen responded to our emails and questions so quickly – and she is currently helping us build our wedding album.
We couldnt have been happier that we found and selected Nicole as our photographer. Our images are amazing – as well as photobooth captures! As soon as we shared these with our friends and family, many of them instantly used their photobooth pictures as their facebook profile photos. The quality of the images was great and so much better than the print outs we have received from other wedding photo booths.
Nicole is a dream to work with, and her team are top notch. We got so many compliments on our photos and also the dedication of the second shooters going the extra step to get amazing shots.

Nicole is amazing. I first heard about her because she was the photographer for a friends’ wedding. I received a link to their wedding album and was just so blown away by how amazing their pictures came out. I hadn’t seen anything like it before. It wasn’t just posed pictures of people saying “cheese”, it was full of really great, candid moments that captured emotion. Nicole was so responsive and helpful during the planning process. My husband and I weren’t used to being photographed that much and Nicole made our engagement shoot fun and relaxing. The pictures came out great. We used our engagement photos in an album that doubled as our guestbook made by Nicole Chan Photography. On the day of our wedding, Nicole and her team were such great company. It really helped wedding nerves to have them around. Nicole is just as great of a person as she is an artist. It was so helpful to have her professional guidance as well. My wedding was almost a year ago and I still get filled with joy looking at the pictures. I love all of them. My husband and I don’t consider ourselves very photogenic but we love how we look in these. Her photos do an amazing job of authentically capturing the moment. The photos are so high quality too. I can spot the difference between a wedding photo a guest took on their cellphone and a photo taken by Nicole Chan Photography. She is worth every penny. I will treasure these photos for the rest of my life. I am so glad we hired her and cannot recommend her enough.

My husband and I got married in June 2015 and we hired Nicole Chan as our photographer. (this review is WAY overdue, because we comfortable being newlyweds and not thinking about wedding planning anymore). The wedding and the days leading up to the wedding were very stressful, but Nicole made us feel so comfortable and made the process so much fun. Nicole had us fill out a questionnaire before the wedding which consists of names of wedding party, family members, likes/dislikes, potential issues they should be aware, main point person they should reach out to in case my husband and I were unavailable, and also timeline of the big day. This questionnaire was extremely helpful in preparation for our big day. She even helped us re-arrange our timeline to make the day flow better.
On the day of the wedding, we had our first looks and portraits done in Boston Commons. Before coming to meet my husband and I on our big day, her team had already scoped out a perfect location for our first looks that morning. We are definitely not models so the idea of having a camera in my face for 10 hrs was intimidating, but Nicole and her team made the process fun and exciting. They even did a mini photoshoot with my fur-babies (BEST PHOTOS EVER). Nicole was very attentive and checking in on how I was doing throughout the day, I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her.
We got our completed photos back a few weeks after the wedding. The photos were beautiful. She captured everything we wanted and half the photos we didn’t know she was even taking. They were like chameleons that day, blending in and taking great photos in unexpected places, snapping shots without us even noticing.
We are so glad to have had the opportunity to work with such a great artist. She’s an all-in-one package, nice, funny, exciting, professional and above all she loves what she does.
