What are your rates?
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can chat more about your wedding. More importantly, my wedding contract states that I require wedding cake (or equivalent wedding dessert). No joke.
All collections include at least 6 hours of coverage, a second photographer, an online gallery and a USB of digital images. Hourly coverage is also available for elopements and uber-small weddings. I would love to meet you! My studio is 6 miles south of Boston, MA. For the non-Bostonians, I’d love to web conference over Skype or Google Hangout. For people that think that talking to a computer is weird, I also have a good ol’ cell phone.
Are you serious about the cake thing?
Yes. If you’re only serving carrot cake, I will not be your photographer. (I think there’s something very wrong with vegetables in dessert…)
What if we aren’t serving dessert?
*eyebrows raised* That’s crazy talk. Don’t be ridiculous.
How can I book you?
Two things, and I’m yours for your wedding day!
1) A non-refundable retainer of 50% of your collection (I accept Mastercard and Visa)
2) Your electronic signature on your wedding e-contract
I am unable to “hold dates”. Business policy states that it is a first come, first served process. Please do not put me in the situation of updating you if other couples are looking at your date. I’m allergic to drama.
Who do you recommend for videography?
I manage a team of insanely talented filmmakers – WWW.PROMESSASTUDIOS.COM
Side note: Karen and I went to highschool. I’ve known Eric and his sister since I was 4. We go way back, and our friendship helps keep the photo-video relationship uber awesome.
How would you describe your style?
Moment-based. Genuine. Bold.
I love the creative documentary approach. It’s about creating meaningful images that tell a story. I strive to create images that go a beyond being just “pretty”. They’ll also show relationships, emotion and most importantly – remind you of how a particular moment felt. I think these moments are the most real. They will be how I would want to remember my own wedding.
I love color. I love creativity.
At every wedding, there’s a place for family formals and bride and groom portraits. I love beautiful and striking portraits of brides and grooms. I believe that people are most beautiful when they’re with people they love. I love casually posed portraiture. I’ve been told that I make things easy, comfortable and natural.
Will you travel?
I am happy travel all over the world for weddings. I am based out of Boston (good ol’ Logan airport). To date, I’ve photographed weddings in Thailand Jamaica, Italy, Dominican Republic, Canada and much of the continental US. Thank you in advance for covering my travel, pillow and food.
How many photographs will I receive?
For an 8 hour day, you can expect 500-700 images. That’s a little more than one photo per minute.
I will photograph everything – details, family formals, extended family formals, gorgeous bridal portraits, the emotional/funny/chaotic/embarassing/touching moments. We’ll talk quite in detail about the things and people that are especially important to you so that I won’t miss a beat. I’m also happy to show you several full wedding galleries so that you have a good idea. Please e-mail me at email@example.com
Who are your second photographers?
They are my friends, my confidants, and people that I look up to. They are photographers (often full-time as well), with a similar documentary style and philosophy on capturing moments.
In addition, sometimes I also bring an assistant. He/She is fantastic at being my sherpa, a professional dress poofer and a voice-activated light holder!
When will I receive my images and album?
Your finished images will be delivered within 6 weeks of your wedding. After we finalize your album design, the printing, mounting and binding process (lots of TLC) will take 6-8 weeks.
What gear do you have?
Two Nikons. One Sony. Four prime lenses. Two very sharp eyes.
I always have several sets of backup equipment (because I’m not an idiot).
I’m a gigantic geek and will be happy to chat with you (ad nauseam) about all of my toys, accessories, and dream list of gear. I’m both Mac and PC and I’m all about Adobe CC.
How many weddings have you photographed?
I’ve documented over 250 weddings (and therefore.. eaten just as many wedding cake slices). Prior to making the leap to this full time venture, I’ve assisted and acted as a second photographer for nearly 100 weddings.
Do we get to pick our wedding images?
Of course. We’ll work together to design your wedding album. Many couples trust me to design a first draft for them as a starting point and then we’ll revise together – adding images, modifying them, swapping them out, etc.
Do we need to feed you at the reception?
You don’t need to, but I’ve been known to get hangry. Please let me know in advance if a vendor meal isn’t provided, and I’ll pack a PB + nutella sandwich.
Do you offer mid-week rates?
Based on my availability and current personal projects, mid-week (Mon-Thur) rates are available.
Do you offer a photobooth?
