The Charles River and the Marina Bay
Meeting a new couple I am about to be working with is always exciting. Each person is different, and each couple has their own dynamic that influences the photo shoot – whether that’s good or bad.
I met with Marcie by the Charles on the esplanade. She was alone, so we sat together and waited for her fiancé, to arrive. She told me all about Pichon, their upcoming move to St. Louis, and planning their wedding in Atlanta. While he was having some trouble finding parking, the extra time gave us the perfect opportunity to get to know each other better. Making a personal connection is a surefire way to guarantee the best images. If I can get a sense of who you are and why you and your fiancé love each other, it will come across in the final product.
When Pichon arrived, we walked around the Esplanade and took pictures by the river. Golden hour was just beginning and everything looked gorgeous. They made each other laugh and smile, and it wasn’t hard to see how their relationship is one of a kind. Marcie was incredibly patient and they were so kind to each other.
Later, we changed locations and went down to Quincy. We went to Marina Bay, where Marcelle and Pichon like to spend almost every day in the summer. The light was as perfect as it could have possibly been when they walked down the boardwalk together. This was one of my favorite engagement sessions of the year.
We wish them the best of luck for their move! Enjoy the amazing food and settling into your new home. Good luck with everything!
