Romantic Lord Thompson Manor wedding: Jen + Pat
They share a love for teeth. (and they lived happily ever after!) Kidding... sort've! Jen and Pat initially crossed paths at Tufts Dental school and their first quasi date was ice skating. Maybe I've watched too many romcoms, but ice skating sounds like such a romantic first date! I envision hand holding, hot chocolate, and lots of laughing. Jen mentioned that she thought she was an incredible ice skater when she was younger, but found that as an adult, her skills were a bit rusty. She remembers that Pat was a fantastic skater and what's better is that he was patient, stayed with her and made it very memorable! Lucky for the two of them, there was lots of hand holding!
Everytime I visit Lord Thompson manor, I gush over how beautiful the grounds are. It was the perfect setting for Jen and Pat's wedding. There was a beautiful bedroom for Jen and her girls to get ready in before the ceremony, and a cool little study with a pool table that the men were hiding in! Immediately from the start, Jen and Pat expressed their desire for a friend-and-family-oriented event. The manor lent itself for plenty of beautiful areas to sit, stand, wander and mingle.
Special thanks to Karen for being an all-around awesome 2nd photographer and to Shannon for being a kickass co-op/assistant/portrait wrangler/expert light holder!
I'm in love with beautiful, effortless and natural smiles.
I love this touching moment of Jen and her mothers right before the ceremony
While everyone was polishing the final touches before the ceremony, this little guy was goofy off. Photographed by Shannon!
During the ceremony, Jen and Pat honored their parents and grandparents for being constant sources of inspiration. I loved that they dedicated a moment of their ceremony to honor them. Beautiful words were said!
Toasts were made from this picturesque balcony overlooking the gardens.
